Dr. Jai Tomlin is a Chiropractic Physician and Clinical Nutritionist, specializing in mind-body medicine. She is a Diplomate of the Process Work Center of Portland, a program that teaches innovative and effective ways of working with conflict, through awareness, deep democracy, and dreaming. She works with individuals, families, organizations, and large groups to find sustainable ways to experience personal and global heath and well-being. She has written about and developed a healing modality called "Sentient Bodywork." These techniques come from a combination of her twenty-five years of clinical experience in which she has seen over 10,000 patients with various body symptoms and from the teachings of Arny and Amy Mindell. She is working to bring this type of awareness to the mainstream medical community and healing arts professionals. She envisions healing arts practices where the doctor, therapist, or body worker uses the client’s process and their own sentient awareness as healing balm for the soul. For the last twelve years she has attended and been on staff at the Lava Rock Clinic on the coast of Oregon. The Lava Rock Clinic, developed by Max Schupbach and the Mindell’s, is named for the lava rocks of the Oregon Coast. It is a yearly residential clinic for people with chronic and acute physical symptoms, including terminal illness, and those interested in training in working with physical symptoms. Within the supportive clinical milieu, participants with illnesses and their loved ones explore the meanings and life tasks that emerge from symptom work. This clinic has been instrumental in her own healing and in the development of her integrative, mind/body healing arts practice. "Dr. Jai Tomlin is not only a highly gifted body therapist
