The original Global Process Institute (GPI) was a collective of people trained in Process Work who act as community consultants for conflict and peace building.

It was originally founded in 1989 by Dr Arnold Mindell, and the goal was to establish an international learning community that would work to resolve conflict among communities and train new facilitators to work around the world.

GPI brought opposing groups together to address conflict and establish peaceful relationships where they would otherwise be impossible, with a focus on democratic consensus.
